The Northbrook Park District is seeking a welcoming Customer Service Representative to work the front desk at our recreation facility, Leisure Center. Customer Service Representatives are often the first point of contact for our patrons and are expected to provide the highest quality of customer service.
Wage & Shift Information
$15.00+ depending on experience
Hours vary. Typical shifts include:
Monday - Friday 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Saturdays 8:30 am - 3:00 pm
Sundays 8:30 am - 12:30 pm

Duties & Responsibilities
Professionally responds to patron inquiries received face-to-face at the registration desk and over the telephone; answers telephone is a professional manner.
Accurately explains registration procedures and provides correct information regarding programs and facilities.
Correctly enters registration data into the computer system.
Accurately handles all monetary transactions and routinely runs registration reports while following established cash handling procedures.
Quickly learns (or has access to) all details of Park District programs, facilities, fee structures and instructors.
A high school degree or equivalent and experience working in an environment requiring the ability to multi-task. Must possess excellent skills in customer service, general office practices and computers (Microsoft Office) and be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Needs to be able to perform basic math to reconcile cash drawers. Must have a CPR/AED certification or the ability to obtain within three (3) month of hire. Must possess knowledge of software applications, such as program registration software.
