Your duties as an Electrician will include installing and repairing electrical wiring, diagnosing problems with vehicle electrical systems, repairing damaged electrical parts, and maintaining electrical equipment for fire apparatus (fire trucks and related components).
To ensure success as an electrician, you should have knowledge of modern vehicular electrical systems, have a good eye for detail, and be able to problem-solve electrical issues.
Electrical Assembler: QUALIFICATIONS and REQUIREMENTS
· General mechanical capability.
· Must be able to read and comprehend engineering drawings.
· Detail oriented and organized is a must.
· Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
· Must be able to perform functional tests.
· Must be able to perform visible weld discrepancies.
· Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
· Must be able to operate a wide variety of hand and power tools.
· Must have good communication skills verbally and written.
· Must be able to work in and around trucks that may include lifting up to 50 lbs.
Electrical Assembler: JOB DUTIES INCLUDED BUT NOT LIMITED TO
· Make connections in electrical switches with various wires and electrical cables
· Install and connect appropriate wiring to components.
· Install and connect appropriate wiring for all lighting systems to include; strobe lights, scene lights, light towers, light bars, chassis lighting, and any kind of customer requested lighting systems.
· Make sure all of this is done in accordance to drawings, Custom Fire specifications and the specifications and the specifications of the manufacturers’ components. If any discrepancies exist it is the electrical assembler’s responsibility to report them to the Team Leader or management’s representative.
· Fabricate and install brackets and mounting hardware to install any of the above accessories.
· Be able to trouble shoot, fix and document any problems arising from the electrical part of the installation of any component.
· Must complete daily time cards with the appropriate time, job and task numbers.
· Must maintain the workplace and keep work area in a neat, clean, orderly and in a well-kept manner.
· Follow all safety procedures as outlined in Custom Fire's hand book.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
