Responsible for identifying and defining safety, compliance and regulatory concerns on Hyundai and Genesis models.

Responsible for creating escalation material for executive review.

Perform field quality & consumer data analytics to identify potential safety-related issues.

Manage and/or perform technical assessment & root causes of identified issues.

Support any testing and/or test management in support of the investigations.

Prepare & present documentation of identified issues and make recommendations to drive appropriate decisions on required field actions through multiple levels of management review.

Actively track all activities related to meeting job function-specific KPIs.

Liaise with internal & external teams to manage issue resolution and field actions.

Maintaining a high level of technical knowledge about Hyundai vehicles and automotive components to assist in identifying potential vehicle safety conditions. This position will have access to Hyundai expertise needed to complete investigations and a direct line to upper management to inform of critical issues identification.

Liaise with teams across organizations, other Hyundai entities, and suppliers.
~ Master’s degree a plus~ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Applied Statistics/Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering or Automotive Engineering preferred.

Six or more years of relevant work experience in automotive powertrain (ICE or EV) or product engineering/development, testing, and/or quality roles.

Powertrain or vehicle diagnostics experience is a plus.

Experience in data analysis.

One or more years of experience in vehicle or systems safety, design, development, durability testing, and service is preferred.

Automotive assembly plant or component manufacturing experience is a plus.

Knowledge of DFMEA/PFMEA.

Proficiency in MS Excel and/or other data analytics tools.

Knowledge of root causing methodologies.

Ability to interact & communicate effectively in a multicultural environment and at all levels.
