Momentum is seeking a dedicated Yoga Manager to lead and enhance our yoga program for members and the community. Recognizing yoga as a vital component of training and recovery for climbers and athletes, the Yoga Manager will develop a comprehensive program that meets the needs of our diverse community. As one of the nation's premier training facilities, Momentum values the integral role of yoga in our overall training philosophy.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Administration

Teach 2 or more yoga classes a week.

Create and maintain a yoga schedule with a wide array of styles and teachers.

Recruit, hire, and schedule regular and substitute teachers.

Maintain a comprehensive sub-list to ensure class coverage.

Assist instructors in finding substitutes as necessary.

Communicate with teachers via email monthly and in person every 3 months about upcoming events for yoga and the gym, ways to grow classes, ideas for workshops, and to support them in finding subs.

Coordinate with gym staff about yoga-related events, new classes, and instructor changes.

Track and document class sizes.

Meet with the Yoga Director at least once a month.

Attend yoga classes to provide constructive feedback to instructors.
Customer Service and Facility Obligations

Oversee and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the yoga room, establishing standards for instructors.

Plan and organize special events, workshops, and clinics.

Communicate with customers regarding new classes and teachers, and support teachers by getting the word out about classes.

Ensure the yoga schedule is up-to-date and posted in the gym and on social media.

Answer questions from members and students about the yoga classes, the benefits of yoga, and which classes might best support their needs.

Requirements:
Hours and Availability

Teach a minimum of 2 hours of yoga classes per week
-
Approximately 8 hours per week for management duties across two gym locations.

Be available during regular Momentum business hours, with some evening, weekend, or after-hours work required.
Experience, Skills, and Certifications

E-RYT 200 certification is preferred; RYT 200 is required.

Prior management experience is preferred.

Climbing knowledge is helpful but not required.
Environmental and Physical Demands

Work in a loud, high-volume gym environment during every shift.

Project your voice in a room of up to 40+ people.

Conduct hour-long classes and provide clear instructions to large groups.

Sit and/or stand for extended periods while working on a computer.
