The Helping Justice-Involved Reenter Employment (HIRE) Grant Program provides employment services to justice-involved individuals the program objectives include:
- Increase employment opportunities and job mobility for formerly incarcerated and justice-involved individuals.
- Provide training, reskilling and upskilling, and supportive services to justice-involved individuals to improve employment opportunities and job mobility.
- Building relationships with employers that hire individuals with a criminal record.
- Developing services, training programs and wraparound services based on feedback from the reentry population.
Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the Agency CEO, the Program Manager for the HIRE Grant Program will oversee the daily program activities. The Program Manager will provide staff supervision and assist with program development. The Program Manager will have experience working in the field of employment services and knowledge of and the ability to comply with all applicable laws and regulations. The Program Manager will have experience working with formerly incarcerated and justice-involved individuals. The Program Manager will provide direct supervision to Case Managers, and Employment Navigators. The Program Manager should have the ability to demonstrate analytical and decision-making skills to interpret program trends and results, formulate recommendations, and develop creative processes for continuous program improvements. The Program Manager is expected to perform her/his duties in alignment with the vision and values of LightHouse Social Service Centers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for program management and on-going program development.
2. Monitors program operations for quality, efficiency and effectiveness.
3. Ensures that project enrollment, milestones and goals are met.
4. Oversees all reporting requirements and deliverables.
5. Facilitates outreach to employers.
6. Responsible for partnership building and community networking.
7. Responsible for staff recruitment and training.
8. Responsible for utilizing resources and monitoring program progress.
9. Monitors the program budget.
10. Ensures compliance with Federal, State and County regulatory agencies
11. Other duties as necessary
Position Requirements:
a. BA or AA degree in behavioral/social science, business/public administration preferred or five (5) years’ experience working in the field of employment services.
b. Experience working with culturally diverse populations.
c. Strong experience in the field of employment services and experience working with formerly incarcerated and justice involved individuals.
d. Knowledge of mainstream benefits programs, case management principles and intervention techniques appropriate for hard-to-reach, difficult to serve populations are essential.
e. Experience working in the field of homeless services or related human services experience.
f. Able to work interdependently, constructively and effectively with others.
g. Strong interpersonal, supervisory and leadership skills; ability to work effectively with people.
h. Detailed knowledge of policies and regulation in the field of employment services.
i. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
j. Excellent analytical skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment when making decisions.
k. Valid driver’s license and insurable.
l. Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience, preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $78,000.00 per year
