Senior Energy Engineer – $115,000-$135,000 – New York City
The Role

INF Associates is seeking a Senior Energy Engineer to join our energy solutions and building decarbonisation team.
In this role you'll play a key role in supporting energy management and turnkey projects for a diverse range of clients in the metro-NYC area and beyond.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform energy audits, retro-commissioning, engineering feasibility studies, energy data management, and energy master plan development.

Design and specify mechanical and electrical energy solutions, including cost estimating and economic analysis.

Lead and mentor junior engineers, managing team workloads and assignments.

Capture incentives and rebates for building energy projects.

Specify manufacturer equipment packages for project design.

Coordinate and manage projects with clients, partners, and contractors.

Attend client presentations and meetings to refine projects based on owner’s requirements.

The Person
-
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
-
Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in energy management or energy engineering.
-
Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Professional Engineer (PE), or commissioning/retro-commissioning certification.

Knowledge of NYC energy laws and energy code.

Experience coordinating with manufacturers, vendors, and contractors.

Proficient in energy savings calculations, budgeting, and financial analysis.

Skilled in performing technical feasibility studies and writing reports.

Experience giving technical presentations to building owners or managers.
-
Knowledge of utility incentive programs and equipment qualification requirements.

Ability to work under tight timelines and manage multiple projects.
