Major Duties/Responsibilities:
- Provide security at venue, preventing vandalism or theft.

Maintain a safe and efficient working environment for staff.

Complete a variety of assigned tasks given by the Race Director, Construction Manager, Festival Manager, and Base Camp Manager.

Recruits Safety / Loss Prevention Team Volunteers

Manage the Safety / Loss Prevention Team roster and continuously provide updates and information to the volunteers.

Create a layout of Safety Team Positions using Festival Layout Map per each event location.

Recruit a Safety / Loss Prevention Team Leader to manage the team while the Security Manager is off shift during event days.

Provide an orientation, walkthrough, and duty descriptions to volunteers before event days.

Communicate with Law Enforcement and EMT/Paramedics effectively.

Continuously update a patrol and productivity log.

Provide an End of Shift Brief to necessary personnel.

Follow standard procedure to ensure event security timeline is executed flawlessly.

Qualifications:

Military or Law Enforcement background, veterans encouraged to apply

Possess basic construction knowledge and ability to operate and maintain power tools

Ability to work various shifts, weekends and / or nights and spend long hours on feet, potentially in inclement weather

Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Ability to communicate effectively to organization staff and volunteers in person, over phone or radio

High work ethic and integrity, observant and attention to detail

Must possess a valid Driver's License

Willingness and ability to travel 11+ days at a time, with approximately 100% travel

Proficiency in Microsoft Office/ Google Office Products, used largely to assist in the volunteer recruitment and management.
