CPS Commercial Property Services Inc. (CPS), the affiliated maintenance company of Hutkin Development Company, is looking for an experienced candidate to fulfill the duties and responsibilities of Maintenance Technician in the Company’s Construction and Maintenance Company.
This role plays a crucial role in ensuring the company’s high standard of property and tenant conditions and maintenance of commercial properties managed by HDC.
This position involves a diverse range of responsibilities, including troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance tasks. The goal is to uphold the property's functionality, safety, and aesthetic appeal while providing efficient and timely support to tenants and property management.
Key Responsibilities (but not limited to):
1. Property Maintenance:
- Conduct routine inspections of commercial properties to identify maintenance and repair needs.
- Assist in planning and executing preventive maintenance programs.
- Coordinate and oversee repairs, renovations, and maintenance projects as needed.
2. Recordkeeping and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment maintenance logs, and inventory.
3. Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure that maintenance activities adhere to safety guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- Report and address any safety concerns promptly.
4. Tenant and Client Relations:
- Interact with tenants and clients in a professional and customer-friendly manner.
- Address maintenance-related inquiries and concerns promptly and effectively.
5. Inventory Management:
- Assist in monitoring and managing inventory levels of maintenance supplies and equipment.
- Coordinate the procurement of necessary materials and supplies for maintenance tasks.
Job Requirements Include:
- High school diploma or equivalent;
- Previous experience in property maintenance or a similar role is a must.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and practices.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Applicant will be required to pass a MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) review conducted by our insurance company prior to being hired.
