LIFE Camp is seeking a talented, dynamic self-starter interested in joining our organization as the Chief Financial Office (CFO). In this role the Officer will be responsible for overseeing all fiscal and fiduciary responsibilities for LIFE Camp, in conjunction with the Board of Directors, Audit, Finance and Compliance, and Executive Committees of the Board. The CFO will ensure financial input is collected on all issues under consideration by the board and management and will serve as the chief financial spokesperson on behalf of LIFE Camp. The CFO will also ensure the performance of all fiscal tasks necessary to achieve LIFE Camp’s mission and execute growth strategies.
Position Responsibilities
- Systematically monitor, review, and upgrade systems, policies, controls, accounting standards, training, and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness of all financial operations.
- Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems, ensuring compliance with appropriate Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and all regulatory requirements as applicable.
- Lead staff and systems to develop and manage robust financial planning, budgeting, spending, and analysis.
- Supervise and collaborate with Compliance Officers, Bookkeepers, and Auditing team
- Lead the organization in all internal and external financial related reporting including the annual audit process with an external accounting firm, tax reporting, and investment accounting and performance.
- Routinely communicate accurate short- and long-term financial information to the CEO and the Board.
- Provide quarterly financial reporting to the Board and Accounting and Finance committees, as well as ongoing financial reporting to management of all departments and requested (budget, cash flow, line-item detail).
- Manage cash flow and forecasting
- Optimize the handling of banking relationships and initiate appropriate strategies to enhance cash positions
- Oversee budgeting and implementation of budgets so as to monitor progress and present financial metrics both internally and externally.
- Manage and track the performance of LIFE Camp’s investment portfolio in keeping with the policies and investment guidelines established by the finance committee.
- Responsible for evaluation and maintenance of internal control safeguards.

Requirements:
- Master’s in business management or related field preferred
- Demonstrated understanding of finance, business management, strategic planning, accounting
- Expert knowledge and understanding of financial and accounting principles and systems
- Experience in a complex organization and ability to forge collaborative relationships with the CEO, senior leaders, and Board of Directors
- Proven track record of successfully managing and developing high performing teams and leading and collaborating with senior colleagues
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Proficiency in MS Office, G Suite, project management tools and social media management
- Knowledge of business and management principles
