We have an opening for Postdoctoral Research Associate in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology. This position is available immediately.
The researcher will model RNA expression regulation, especially focusing on dysregulated genes in cancer development and progression. We are particularly interested in combining bioinformatics with high-throughput multi-omics approaches such as RNA-seq, CRISPR screening, single cell sequencing, and spatial transcriptomics for integrative data modeling. Moreover, our lab is also interested in using RNA expression profiles as molecular biomarkers for disease diagnosis and prognosis. More information about the lab can be found at: https://chicago.medicine.uic.edu/wanglab/.
This position requires a Ph.D. in bioinformatics or a related field. Other biology candidates with extensive experience in computer science or statistics will also be considered. Previous experience in high-throughput sequencing analysis or machine learning techniques is preferred. The candidates should have extensive experience in bioinformatics and computational biology as demonstrated by solid publication record.
Interested candidates should send CV to Dr. Xiaowei Wang, Dept. of Pharmacology and Regenerative Medicine, University of Illinois at Chicago.
