We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Room team. The ideal candidate will excel in providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced Level I Trauma Center environment. **Responsibilities:**
- Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Room setting, ensuring prompt assessment and treatment of patients.
- Monitor and evaluate patients' conditions, including vital signs and symptoms, to determine appropriate interventions.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, following established protocols and best practices.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate and manage patient care effectively.
- Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, procedures, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic health record systems like Cerner.
- Demonstrate proficiency in specialized procedures such as venipuncture, spinal taps, and acute pain management.
- Provide care for diverse patient populations, including geriatric patients, with empathy and respect.
**Experience:**
- Prior experience working in an Emergency Room or similar acute care setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with Mammography systems and Durable Medical Equipment (DME) is a plus.
- Knowledge of geriatric care principles and best practices in acute pain management.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high standard of patient care.
- Experience with Level I Trauma Center protocols and procedures is advantageous.
