Audio Visual Commissioning Specialist - DFW, TX (Hybrid)
We are looking for a dedicated Audiovisual Commissioning Specialist to join a fast-growing Audio Visual Commercial Integrator in the DFW area!
Responsibilities:
- Engage clients at the end of projects to ensure expectations are met.
- Ensure systems are fully functional and configured to meet client objectives.
- Provide technical advice as the internal technical expert.
- Assist in fabricating racks and testing/configuring equipment in the Shop.
- Support the Customer Support Team with service issues.
- Complete technical finish and project reviews within budget and client deadlines.
- Conduct client training within the allocated time.
- Build, configure, and test all Shop equipment within budget.
- Maintain accurate daily logs and work order entries.
- Submit credit card receipts weekly.
- Deliver engaging client training sessions and support.
- Complete technical finishes and commissioning on time, on budget, and with exceptional quality.
- Ensure all equipment is assembled, tested, and project-ready before leaving the shop.
- Acquire one Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) Renewal Unit (RU) or manufacturer/vendor certification each month.
- Support service work orders as available.
- Coordinate with the Operations Manager or Administrator, Project Manager, and Project Team on schedules and timelines.
- Ensure on-time project completion.
- Provide extra service capacity in coordination with the CS Administrator.
Qualifications:
- Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) certification, CTS-I preferred.
- Associate or technical degree, or 2 years A/V experience with High School or GED.
- Proven success as a Customer Support Technician or Project Lead.
- Advanced knowledge of sound, acoustics, video, lighting systems, control, networking, electric, and basic power systems.
- Advanced knowledge of Digital Signal Processors (DSPs), control systems, video processors, IP addressing, and networking.
- Thorough understanding of construction drawings and schematics.
- Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds or more and work in demanding conditions.
- Excellent communication skills and professional demeanor.
- Proficiency with Excel, Word, Outlook, and OneNote.
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
- Willingness to travel as required (US only) and work flexible schedules, including evenings and weekends.
