The Maintenance Technician is responsible for completing all maintenance tasks necessary in the Libertyville facility. This position requires an ability to effectively work independently, often without direct supervision while also working effectively with others. This job requires good verbal and written communication skills and a commitment to employing safe work practices at all times.
Main Job Responsibilities:
- Work with the Plant Manager and Department Managers to develop the preventative maintenance (PM) schedule for Company and facility equipment. Perform maintenance per the schedule.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform equipment repairs as needed.
- Review reports coming from each department and prioritize needed interventions to address equipment performance problems.
- Hold “Optimization” sessions in which equipment is inspected/observed during its operation, with the goal of identifying opportunities to optimize the equipment/process.
- Maintain electrical and pneumatic control systems, robotics, and communication networks for machines and manufacturing processes.
- Organize and keep inventory of replacement parts to support the PM schedule and needed repairs.
- Maintain records of PM/repair activities and other work. Use these records to improve the PM program with the goals of continually reducing unplanned downtime and controlling costs.

Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
