A lovely family in Rancho Cucamonga is seeking a part time mother’s helper. Care is needed for their energetic and happy 19 month old child and 3 month newborn. This job also includes helping in household duties such as laundry, meal prep and cleaning around the house. Our older child enjoys singing and listening to music, Elmo, dancing, and going on walks. Mom and Dad work from home but occasionally will need to go to the office. Parents will be present during mealtime. A great candidate will be animated, enthusiastic, interactive, and promote a growth mindset. Music and dance enthusiasts a plus!
Start date: June 2024
Length of Position: 24 months or more, possibility to extend
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am-5:00pm Some Fridays off
Compensation: $20 per hour
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lunch and dinner prep
Tidying up after self + child
Stroller walks around neighborhood
Laundry
Other house duties may be included
REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a minimum of 2 years of paid professional toddler care experience
Must be UTD on CPR certification or willing to renew prior to start
Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
Must have a High School diploma or equivalent
Post High School education is a plus
Must speak fluent English
Speak Spanish is a plus
Must have valid driver’s license + clean driving record
Must have reliable transportation
Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive and responsible care for children of various ages, including infants, toddlers
- Create a safe and nurturing environment for children to play and learn
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities, such as reading, arts and crafts, and outdoor play
- Prepare meals and snacks for family
- Assist with basic household tasks related to childcare, such as tidying up toys and washing dishes used during mealtime
- Follow established routines and schedules to ensure consistency for the children
- Monitor children's behavior and address any issues or concerns in a calm and appropriate manner
- Administer basic first aid when necessary
Skills:
- Previous experience working with children in a daycare, preschool, or babysitting setting
- Knowledge of age-appropriate activities and developmental milestones
- Ability to provide a safe and secure environment for children
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with both children and parents
- Basic understanding of meal preparation for children, including knowledge of any dietary restrictions or allergies
- Familiarity with infant care practices, such as feeding, diaper changing, and soothing techniques
- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities while maintaining a positive attitude
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.54 - $21.60 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 40 per week
