Job Description: Responsible for turning conceptual ideas into tangible products that meet both our high standards and customer expectations. You will play a crucial role in the entire product development lifecycle, from initial design to final production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and interpret design briefs to understand the requirements.
- Conduct research on user experience, market trends, and product functionality.
- Develop innovative solutions to complex problems.
- Create and iterate design prototypes using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools.
- Perform rigorous usability tests and modify designs based on feedback.
- Evaluate designs against industry standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, manufacturing, and R&D.
- Document the design process: drawings, costed BOM, Material Specification Data Sheets
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Design Engineer or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in CAD software; knowledge of SolidWorks is a plus.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles and design standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
