The Four Seasons Hotel Chicago is looking for a Front Office Manager who shares a passion for excellence and who infuses enthusiasm into everything they do.The Front Office Manager directs and guides the activities of the Front Desk and Guest Services to create a special welcoming and memorable experience for our guests.
- Oversee a team of Department Heads, Assistant Managers and Front Office staff, ensuring accurate communication and follow-up on any problems, guest requests, and special requirements.
- Ensure the smooth registration and cashiering functions of the Front Office.
- Reviews daily arrivals, VIPs, special request, group needs, room assignments and coordinates with Housekeeping Department the needs of guests.
- Resolves customer complaints from all areas of the hotel, handling all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible; assists customers in all inquiries in connection with hotel services.
- Communicate with the Director of Revenue/CORE Manager on room availability and selling strategy to maximize occupancy, revenue and rate.
- Takes action in all matters related to the safety, security, satisfaction and well being of hotel guests and employees when senior managers are not available. Responds swiftly and effectively in any hotel emergency or safety situation.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
- A degree in Hospitality Management
- Minimum of five years hotel experience in either Rooms or Food and Beverage, including at least three years as a Department Head in Rooms Division.
- Strong supervisory and managerial skills are essential with outstanding demonstrated coaching and development skills.
- Excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills, good problem solving ability and proficiency in hotel property management systems including: Opera and Micros.
- Strong command of the English language
