Starting Salary: $55,000-$60,000 - Based on experience

The Internal Auditor provides monitoring for compliance and quality improvement through data management, analysis, and reporting. This position ensures that data, information, and activities are handled in accordance with regulatory and contractual requirements. This position is responsible for collecting data from all sources; tracking, analyzing, and trending the data; and creating reports to be shared with stakeholders. This position will work with data sets and have a working understanding of current data analysis tools and databases.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Required
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college in a business administration, auditing, regulatory, criminal justice (or related field) or a related professional certification.
- At least 1-year work experience as a data analyst or related field
- Some work experience in educational or human services environment
- High-level of written and verbal communication skills
Roles and Responsibilities
- Maintains databases, including identifying and correcting data-related problems.
- Works with compliance team to establish action plans for improvement based on data reporting.
- Completes reports and data visualizations for internal and external reporting.
- Supports compliance and quality improvement initiatives.
- Acts as a resource and liaison for Pace centers regarding compliance metrics and auditing outcomes.
- Collaborates with the Compliance & Risk Management department to ensure alignment with and support of organization-wide compliance guidelines and initiatives.
- Reviews internal policies and works collaboratively with colleagues to provide updates.
- Understands of state laws guiding the organization’s practice.
- Develops training modules, as needed, to support information sharing of auditing practices.
- Conducts internal audits as outlined in compliance guidelines.
- Lead external audits with Department of Education and Department of Children Services to support contract obligations and Pace’s mission.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills
- Intermediate knowledge and manipulation of Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to work independently with strong time management skills delivering to a larger team
- Ability to work with the larger team to provide a framework around fluid requirements while remaining agile with tight deadlines
- Ability to collaborate, participate and deliver with partnering teams against cross functional initiatives
- Strong technology background with the ability to identify and remediate any data quality issues
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present/instruct to a non-technical audience
- Have a technical mindset with the ability to solve problems independently
Other
- Must adhere to the Pace Center for Girls Values and Guiding Principles and upholds the ethical standards of the Agency
- Follows mission, values and principles, policies and procedures of the Pace Centerfor Girls
- Availability to work evenings and weekends as required to fulfill workload requirements
- Must be able to travel by automobile, plane, train, etc.; occasional overnight travel may be required
