Position Title: APRN - Child and Adolescent Mental Health

Position Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) licensed in Connecticut to join our team and provide mental health medication management services to children and adolescents. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in child and adolescent psychiatry, a passion for working with young clients and their guardians, and the ability to collaborate effectively with our multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments for children and adolescents.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication management and therapeutic interventions.
- Provide ongoing monitoring and adjustment of treatment plans based on patient progress and response to therapy.
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory requirements.
- Participate in case consultations and team meetings to discuss patient progress and treatment strategies.
- Stay current with best practices and advancements in child and adolescent psychiatry.
Qualifications:
- Education: Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited program with a focus on psychiatric/mental health.
- Licensure: Current APRN license in the state of Connecticut.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience working with children and adolescents in a psychiatric/mental health setting.
- Skills:
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems.
