Mechanical Engineer, P.E.
Requirements:
· Must thoroughly understand the principles of HVAC systems design, including heating and cooling load calculations, energy efficiency, equipment selections, and pipe and duct sizing.
· Must be able to effectively describe HVAC system concepts to managers, vendors, clients, and coworkers. Also, they must be able to help train and direct the work of HVAC engineers and designers.
· Must be knowledgeable and conscious of the factors that may affect system pressure losses, noise, and vibration. Close attention to detail with respect to these factors is essential.
· Must have at least 5+ years of prior experience designing HVAC systems; experience working on energy and cogeneration projects is preferred.
· PE Registration is required.
· Must have excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively with client owners and architects.
· Must be able to meet with clients, ascertain their needs, and help develop a scope of work, task plan, and cost proposal for engineering services.
· Technical knowledge of AutoCAD drawing set-up, use, and limitations is essential. The ability to proficiently design in AutoCAD is a plus, particularly in 3D drawing experience.
· Must be a graduate of an ABET-accredited engineering curriculum with a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering.
· Previous experience in plumbing and/or process piping systems design is a plus.

Pay: $72,276.71 - $87,042.91 per year
