Role Overview: We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Transporter to join our team. This role requires significant driving responsibilities, ensuring the safe and timely transportation of clients to various appointments and activities. It is perfect for individuals who are comfortable with extensive travel and have a deep understanding of the sensitive nature of our clientele.
Core Responsibilities & Duties:
- Safely transport clients to and from appointments, including therapy sessions, healthcare appointments, and family-related outings.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and positive interaction with clients, understanding the fragile nature of the families we serve.
- Ensure adherence to all safety protocols, including the use of seat belts and appropriate car seats for children as required.
- Coordinate with the Behavioral Aide team and office staff to schedule and execute transportation plans.
- Keep accurate records of travel logs and client interactions in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Regularly communicate with the office to report on client status and any significant incidents during transport.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED; further certification in safety or transportation-related fields is a plus.
- Valid Driver's License and clean driving record.
- Experience in a driving position, preferably in a role involving the care or transportation of individuals.
- Good knowledge of local areas (Douglas, Paulding, and Carroll Counties) and efficient route planning.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience working with high-risk or sensitive populations.
- Mechanical knowledge or skills, such as the ability to change tires or perform minor vehicle maintenance, is advantageous.
