Functional Interfaces and Collaboration: Manage key interfaces and work closely with COO functions such as Operational Excellence, production (all levels to CSC managers), and other functions such as FP&A, Commercial, Procurement, HR, etc.
Operational Fleet Planning: Take fleet capacity and capability requirements as an input from the Strategic Fleet Planning process. Assess fleet age, capacity utilization and availability performance to assess investment needs. Work closely with Procurement to source trucks in time and budget to meet operational requirements. Track and monitor progress of truck delivery progress across vendors. Work closely with Operational Excellence and manufacturing facilities to ensure the fleet allocation is balanced across the facilities nationwide.
Fleet Maintenance: Monitor and analyze breakdowns/up-time, planned and unplanned maintenance costs, fleet age. Define and implement the optimal maintenance model/set-up (in-house/outsourced/hybrid) to maximize utilization with minimal cost. Work closely with Procurement to source maintenance services in line with selected model. Oversee day-to-day maintenance operations at local/regional level.
Fleet Performance: Monitor fleet performance metrics (e.g., fleet age and condition, utilization, fuel consumption, breakdown frequency, maintenance efficiency, safety and compliance, operating costs) and implement improvement actions.
Facility Investments & Project Management: Own the process from “project approval” to “commissioning” and hand-over to operations. Lead the execution and delivery of infrastructure projects, including new builds, renovations, and technology/IT infrastructure upgrades. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
Facility Maintenance: Develop and implement maintenance strategies to ensure all infrastructure such as real estate, building infrastructure (e.g., floors, roofs, piping), equipment (e.g., dishwashers, refrigeration, air conditioning, automation solutions) operate efficiently, safely and meet the operational requirements and service levels. Manage day-to-day operation of in-house maintenance services. Oversee external maintenance service providers to ensure SLAs are met.
Facility Performance: Monitor facility performance metrics (e.g., energy efficiency, uptime, maintenance efficiency, safety and compliance, operating costs) and implement improvement actions.
Vendor Management: Work closely with Procurement to tender services, select vendors, manage and execute contracts, monitor vendor performance, manage cost and budget, approve/sign-off on contract requirements and payments
