Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will assist healthcare providers in delivering quality patient care in a medical office or hospital setting.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for exams. Room patients, record vitals, collect patient histories and screenings, in accordance with practice guidelines.
- Responsible for direct patient care as directed by the doctor.
- Maintain a high level of customer service.
- Explain treatment procedures and provide instructions to patients.
- Accurately update and maintain patient information within EMR system.
- Maintains exam rooms, ensuring supplies are stocked daily.
- Communicates effectively with physicians and other staff members in order to ensure an excellent level of patient care.
- Support current organizational initiatives and exhibit creativity and flexibility in times of change.
- Observe and maintain clinical policies and procedures.
- Clean and sterilize medical instruments.
- Other tasks and duties as assigned.
Front Desk Duties:
- Warmly greets patients.
- Performs all duties/functions of the Front Desk including, but not limited to, checking patients in/out, scheduling appointments, registering new patients, processing paperwork and co-payments/ co-insurance, assisting patients with billing questions, and maintaining patient flow.
- Answers phones consistently and politely, assisting with patients’ questions and concerns, directing calls to appropriate staff when necessary. (i.e. referrals, billing, etc.)
- Complete patient forms and requests in a timely and accurate manner.
- Scans documents in EMR system.
- Maintaining Medical Records in EMR system.
Requirements:
- Diploma or certification from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Proficiency in medical terminology and basic life support techniques.
- Knowledge of physiology, hospital medicine, medical-surgical procedures, and medication administration.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members.
- Experience in providing medical administrative support in a hospital or clinical setting.

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
