Office Manager
Merit Auction is looking for a General Manager to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with a background in agricultural or construction industry, auction experience a plus. This is a full-time position based out of our Fort Madison IA office.
Job Duties:
· Provide leadership to the Ft. Madison IA branch
· Oversee multiple office & support personnel daily
· Assist all Producers as needed and provide guidance on deal flow
· Develop and maintain a positive relationship with all existing and new customers and resolves any elevated customer issues
· Oversee quarterly consignment auctions
· Checking figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper codes
· Review and approve customer settlements, auction agreements, payrolls, etc to ensure accuracy
· Grow the brand throughout the Mid-West!
Job Requirements:
· Experience required
· 5+ years of recent and relevant management experience (preferably within the agricultural or construction industries)
· Superior communication and interpersonal skills
· Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounts payable principles
· Extremely organized and able to multi-task
· Proficiency in English and in MS Office required
