Your impact :
Provide direct support to school administrators, faculty, and staff in the areas of discipline, school operations, and instruction. Work involves monitoring and supervising students during lunch, classrooms, hallways, dismissal, carline, and after school to ensure a safe and secure learning environment. Oversee and coordinate the Afterschool Care Program (ASCP).
To be successful, you will bring/have
- Graduation from high school required, AA degree preferred.
- Has a positive attitude; demonstrates compassion.
- Self-motivated; able to accept criticism and grow as a result.
- Strong communication and organizational and customer service skills.
- 2 years of Experience working with school-age children, in a school setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of conflict resolution techniques
You will be responsible for:
- Supervise students to ensure a safe and secure learning environment.
- Monitor students during lunch, passing periods, after school, and other activities; address inappropriate behavior following established guidelines.
- Verify authorized persons for picking up students and maintain accurate records for the Business Office
- Interpret school and classroom rules, procedures, and practices to establish appropriate rules, methods, and techniques to maintain a disciplined academic environment.
- Greet and communicates with students and parents in a pleasant and informed manner for various needs.
- Assist and encourage students to complete work in areas of math, reading, and independent study.
- Carry out tutoring activities designed by the teachers and school administration.
- Assist school faculty and staff with requests, paperwork, correspondence, scheduling, coordinating events, etc. as needed.
- Operate copying machines, personal computers, and other office equipment.
- Rotation through various tasks to ensure delivery of support and assistance to school personnel in completion of their duties such as but not limited to; calling students names at dismissal, helping during morning drop off, and pick up, and cleaning cafeteria and tables.
- Move Furniture, desks, and other items as needed. Follow the safety rules and proper procedures associated with the job responsibilities.
- Plan and serve snacks to students.
- Provide coverage for other staff as needed.
- Follow and enforce all safety policies.
- Report any problems which arise with students, other employees, or the school to the administrative staff.
- Assist with cleaning and building maintainence items.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor or other administrators.

- Follow directions and perform work activities as assigned by the Assistant to the Dean of Students and the administrative team.
- Work closely with co‐workers and other employees and set an example for the students.
- Use good judgment and effective problem‐solving skills.
- Work independently, self-motivated, and requires minimal supervision.
