Job Overview:
Ya YA Foods is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our new food manufacturing facility in Ogden, UT. The Maintenance Supervisor will oversee the maintenance team in maintaining and repairing food processing equipment, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations, and minimizing downtime to support production goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in food processing equipment and machinery, along with leadership skills to effectively manage a team.
Responsibilities

Supervise and lead a team of maintenance technicians in a food manufacturing environment.

Schedule and prioritize maintenance tasks to ensure minimal disruption to production schedules.

Evaluates systems of facilities to determine maintenance repairs that need to be performed

Works with Maintenance/Site Director to plan work priorities, obtain necessary supplies, and assess skills needed to complete tasks

Collaborates with team members to discuss upcoming work assignments; delegates assignments based on team members skills and experience

Ensures maintenance and repair work is completed safely, effectively, and in a timely manner

Assists team members with technical issues or advanced problems with given assignments

Inspects work performed by team members

Works with Site Director to coordinate topics for safety meetings

Observe all safety rules and promote a safe working environment with team members

Compliance with all rules & policies regarding health safety, occupational safety, environmental safety, food safety, legal regulations, company requirements, etc

Compliance with the Company's Integrated Management Systems which includes, but is not limited to Production, Quality, Food Safety & GMP

Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
-
Minimum 5+ years of experience in maintenance or other related fields with Tetra Pack
-
Strong knowledge of food plant equipment maintenance, mobile equipment, industrial blenders, filling equipment and conveyor belt systems

Proven experience as a Maintenance Supervisor or similar role in the food industry

Ability to effectively manage a team

Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Suite of Applications), and instructional software

Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management

Problem solving skills and the ability to make decisions

Commitment to continuous improvement and quality of support and service

Skill in organization, analysis, time management, and the ability to meet deadlines for multiple tasks
Preferred Qualifications:

College Degree in Maintenance

Certification in food safety
