Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Safety Director to oversee and implement safety protocols within our organization. The Safety Director will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and promoting a culture of safety across the organization.
Duties:
- Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards
- Collaborate with management to address safety concerns and provide recommendations for improvement
- Lead safety training sessions for employees on topics such as PPE, emergency response, and hazard communication
- Investigate accidents or incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions
- Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and regulatory requirements related to occupational health and safety
Skills:
- Proven experience in safety management, preferably in a construction environment
- Familiarity with construction management software for tracking safety metrics and incidents
- Strong knowledge of EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) regulations and compliance management
- Ability to build strong relationships with employees at all levels of the organization
- Proficiency in risk management techniques
- Certification in OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards is preferred
