Duties and Responsibilities:
- Works with Production Manager to develop, maintain and control a realistic master production schedule by balancing customer requirements with manufacturing capacity and materials availability
- Communicates forecast and production schedule changes to sales department and key customers
- Collects production reports and update manual worksheets including traceability
- Reports productions to key customers, account holders, and customer service representatives
- Reviews inventory levels of ingredients and packaging materials, places orders based on customer orders, safety stocks and forecast, and maintains detailed records of purchase price information
- Tracks status of purchase orders to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of quality goods and correct costs
- Maintains updated accounting system by assigning work orders based on production schedule, issuing purchase orders, and posting productions and receiving of goods
- Identifies, resolves, and communicates material shortage
- Updates costing worksheet periodically
- Works with Sales Director, Financial Controller and/or customers to book enough ingredients to supply in required period, and monitors the running balance and keep informed of supply status
- Works in conjunction with sourcing (R&D) to implement new projects and cost reduction
- Provides training to new supply chain team members
- Performs other tasks as assigned
Computer skills required: Microsoft Office, especially strong Excel. MAS 90 a plus.
