CLASS A JOCKEY / HOSTLER DRIVER NEEDED FOR METALS RECYCLING COMPANY!
Founded in 2009, Intonu is a metals recycling company located on the west side of Atlanta which has grown to be one of the leading recyclers in the Southeastern United States. We are currently seeking a CLASS A JOCKEY DRIVER to join our growing team.
We participate in E Verify. PPE required. All DOT requirement
- Starting pay $20-23 per hour DOE

Essential Duties
- Abide by all state and local DOT commercial driver regulations
-
Abide by all instructions outlined in truck and trailer operation manuals

Perform visual pre trip and post trip inspections as described by approved dot checklists on trucks and related trailers

Follow all procedures specific to Intonu transportation department

Be on time to work
-
Wear PPE at all times and adhere to all safety policies

Maneuver trucks within the yard, directly outside of the yard, and to and from immediate local businesses

Assist other drivers with hooking, unhooking, adjusting, moving, docking, etc to keep transportation operations running efficiently

Other job duties as assigned
Required Skills and Abilities
- Ability to move all equipment.
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to handle pressure in a fast paced environment.
Physical Demands
- All Physical activity including but not limited to: climbing, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, and hearing.
- Medium work: lifting up to 50 lbs and applying force of up to 50 lbs.
- Visual acuity to operate motor vehicles.
- Worker is subject to: all kinds of weather including extreme heat and extreme cold, noise, hazards, moving vehicles, dust.
- All DOT physical requirements.
Education and Experience
- Class A CDL
- Minimum of 2 years
- Clean MVR and PSP
