Responsibilities:

As a mobile mechanic you will perform repairs at the customers location which could include working outside or possibly inside. You will drive a company service truck that you will pick up and drop off at our shop daily.

Perform preventative maintenance on trailers.

Test equipment and systems for performance.

Perform repairs to brakes and electrical systems Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose and perform quality maintenance and repair of trailers.

Build, rebuild, and repair all parts of trailer equipment to specifications as assigned.

Read and understand job orders ensuring corrective action and the documentation of repair processes to company standards.
Qualifications:

Must have own tools.
-
Preferred someone who has a certificate or technical training in mechanics and truck repair, or any mechanical professional that has knowledge of air brakes, hydraulics, electrical, and ABS brake systems.

Welding or fabrication experience is a plus.

Preferred 2+ years technician experience

Preferred 2+ years mobile truck experience

Knowledge of flatbeds drop decks and dry vans, 12 volts, air systems, vapor systems.

Any certification a plus.

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly exposed to working near moving mechanical parts, working in high precarious places, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate too loud. The employee will be exposed to extremes in temperature and environmental conditions. The employee may work in a shop, yard or out of a mobile service vehicle.
