Centaur, Hydro's condition monitoring system, offers solutions through the convergence of expert knowledge and state‐of‐the‐art technology, providing end‐users with insight into the health of their rotating machinery.
The Condition Monitoring Engineer position assists in the monitoring of the health of systems and equipment around the globe in support of Hydro’s worldwide customer base. Employees at this level solve problems in engineering areas of specialization with supervision.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an accredited program in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- In lieu of BS Degree, will consider candidates with an Associate Degree plus 2 years' experience working in an industrial customer facing position with experience with vibration analysis.
- 0‐2 years of related engineering experience
Engineering Functions:
- Perform vibration analysis and daily monitoring in on all assigned equipment
- Develop understanding of pump hydraulics and mechanical vibration of rotating equipment
- Create reports relevant to equipment status, alarm status, and other equipment conditions
Production Functions:
- Review specifications to determine technical requirements
- Contact vendors for pricing, delivery, purchasing, and technical information
Team Functions:
- Promote a team‐oriented attitude and communicate in conjunction with Hydro’s culture and standards
- Participate in team meetings, training, and cross training with nuclear engineering division
- Maintain flexibility to work extended hours as required
- Travel onsite to facilities within NA, when needed, to support the needs of our customers
Knowledge and Skills:
- Proficient communication skills including technical writing with attention to detail
- Proficient with Microsoft Office™ (Excel®, Word®, Access®, Power Point®, Projects®, etc.)
- Has an appropriate flexibility and sense of urgency to meet customer expectations and commitment
