Position Summary
The Technical Project Manager is responsible for leading customer implementations of Etiometry software and integrations, working with strategic partners on development projects, documentation of technical requirements and test plans, testing new product integrations, developing implementation guides and training aids, and supporting other initiatives as needed. The Etiometry platform is a software solution hosted on premises by customers. Implementation entails interfacing with hospital IT and clinical staff to obtain access to onsite servers, facilitating data integrations, providing guidance for installation and configuration of displays, user management and plans for onboarding new users. This role is a key part of an internal team responsible for building positive relationships with customers and supporting utilization, adoption and expansion of the software. Occasional travel to the corporate offices in Boston, MA required for company meetings.
Key Responsibilities

Collaborate and coordinate with customer technical and clinical stakeholders, account executives, clinical specialists and engineering to understand scope, training plans, and technical activities

Develop customized project plans and oversee implementations on a day-to-day basis

Schedule and lead project calls to discuss and track project tasks to completion

Estimate reliable timelines, manage scope changes, and mitigate risks and issues
-
Use professional facilitation and diplomatic leadership skills to keep projects moving toward completion

Act as central point of communication for all levels of stakeholders, from executive to front-line, including clinical, technical, analytic and engineering disciplines

Lead kick-off presentations, develop meeting agendas, take notes and distribute minutes, and provide regular status updates on project activities, challenges, escalations and mitigation plans

Provide post go-live support for technical issues that impact utilization and adoption

Work with key partners to document requirements for new development, build out project plans, and facilitate the day-to-day activities to achieve the project milestones within the budget and schedule constraints

Coordinate QA and testing for new integrations

Work with sites to coordinate and schedule application updates, implementation of new integrations, and expansion of the application to new units.

Lead internal initiatives and projects as needed

Collect and analyze business process information, create clear and meaningful process diagrams, and assist with design and configuration plans.

Partner with internal staff to create technical implementation guides, user training aids, and other relevant collateral
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
-
Bachelor level degree in healthcare, data science, information technology or related field
-
Minimum 5 years of IT project management experience in a hospital environment
-
Minimum 5 years using a standard project management framework to build and manage project plans (e.g., PMI, waterfall, agile, adaptive, etc.)

Minimum 3 years of experience working in vendor/customer relationships for software or hardware implementations and influencing the direction of the project.

Intermediate knowledge of clinical data management and data integration concepts (database structures, HL7, FHIR API, etc.)

System configuration experience

Experience with clinical decision support tools and/or biomedical devices or systems

Strategic planner, highly organized with effective system for managing multiple clients with varied scope and timelines.

Flexible, adaptive, able to independently juggle and prioritize daily work
-
Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills that help teams overcome obstacles and promote teamwork, collaboration and accountability

Intermediate skill is using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Project applications.
Preferred Qualifications:

PMP certification
-
7-10 years experience implementing software or biomedical hardware in a hospital environment
-
7-10 years using standard project management frameworks and tools like MS project or similar
-
5+ years in application management or application support role
-
Fluent in technical terminology (servers, interfaces, data feeds, etc.) with ability to bridge communication between clinical, technical and executive audiences
-
Intermediate knowledge and familiarity with clinical decision support tools and/or patient monitoring devices and systems
-
Intermediate understanding of healthcare policies and practices related to HIPAA compliance, data security, and user access
-
Business analysis experience including interviews, requirements documentation, and testing
-
Process mapping skills to communicate the flow and connection of complex processes
