Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook meals according to recipes and dietary requirements
- Ensure food is prepared in a safe and sanitary manner, following food safety guidelines
- Collaborate with dietary aides to ensure meals are served on time and meet quality standards
- Assist with menu planning and development, taking into consideration dietary restrictions and preferences
- Use knives and other kitchen tools effectively and safely
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow proper food storage procedures to prevent spoilage and waste
Skills:
- Previous experience in the food industry or as a cook is preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and meal planning
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
