Job Duties and Responsibilities:
We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our team and take the lead in creating standardized data sets to enable our marketing data science, acquisition marketing, and customer lifecycle analytic teams. In this role, you will partner with our various analytic teams to create, update, and maintain key data sets that enable basic day-to-day reporting and advanced data science projects. This role will work with stakeholders to build data pipelines, and ETL data, maintain GIT repositories, QA code, and build data dictionaries. Your leadership will be crucial in driving innovative data-driven strategies to enhance our acquisition marketing and customer retention strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to acquire and integrate relevant data sources for marketing and churn analysis.

Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines to process and transform large volumes of data.

Work with data scientists to create datasets for analytics, modeling, and feature engineering.

Implement data governance policies to ensure compliance and protect sensitive information.

Optimize data processing workflows to improve performance and scalability.

Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver data solutions.
Skills, Experience and Requirements:
As a successful Data Engineer II, you will have:
Education and Experience:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.

3+ years experience as a Data Engineer, Software Engineer, or similar role with focus on data pipelines and warehousing.
Skills and Qualifications:

Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Scala, and experience with data processing frameworks like Apache Spark, Hadoop, or Flink.

Experience with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS, Snowflake, BigQuery, GCP, or Azure.

Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing.

Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills; experience in acquisition marketing or customer churn analysis is a plus.

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location. Candidates need to successfully complete a pre-employment screen, which may include a drug test and DMV check.
