Job Description and Duties
Under California Government Code Section 14200, this position is eligible for hybrid telework and may be eligible for full-time remote work in some circumstances and/or time-periods, at the sole discretion of the Department. Telework-eligible applicants must reside in California. Headquarter location will be designated on the selected candidate's primary residence location. This is subject to change if HCD's criteria is met.
Under the general direction of the Assistant Deputy Director of Operations and Monitoring (Career Executive Assignment) within the Division of State Financial Assistance (DSFA), the incumbent independently performs a wide range of the more complex research, and data-related tasks. The incumbent leads projects, provides data management, outcome assessments, and maintenance support for the Division’s various research activities, and will develop, implement, maintain, and enhance database and reporting protocols. Additionally, the incumbent conducts the more complex statistical analyses using appropriate methodologies and tools, such as Microsoft Power BI, and will interpret, summarize, and clearly/concisely communicate findings with leadership.

- Ability to lead collaborative cross-team efforts, including qualitative information-gathering, program design, and data collection efforts.
- Experience working independently and as part of a team.
- Experience and knowledge in working with Microsoft Office.
- Experience interpreting policies, regulations, and laws
- Experience using data collection and research tools (Microsoft Power BI, Excel, Geographic Information System (GIS) Mapping, SQL, SAS, Python)

Pay: $7,201.00 - $9,282.00 per month
