Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Fleet Mechanic to join our team. The Fleet Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of vehicles to ensure they are safe and reliable for operational use. This position will be based at our Norwich location and will report directly to the Fleet Manager.

- Perform routine maintenance on fleet vehicles, including inspections, oil changes, tire rotations, and brake repairs.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in a timely manner.
- Conduct preventive maintenance according to schedule to minimize downtime and ensure vehicle safety and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and repair diesel engines, transmissions, and other components as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities using computerized systems.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Assist in managing inventory of parts and supplies to ensure availability for repairs and maintenance.
- Collaborate with other team members and departments to support overall fleet operations.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Fleet Mechanic or similar role, preferably in a commercial or industrial setting.
- Solid understanding and hands-on experience with diesel engines, including diagnostics and repairs.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical issues.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Technical degree or certification in automotive technology or a related field is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.08 per hour
