Summary
A Dispatcher providing support to Flight Instructors and management staff, as well as proctoring exams for students.
Essential Functions
- Ability to interpret Flight Specifications
- Ability to utilize MyFBO/Talon Systems ETA
- Ability to effectively communicate with customers both internal and external
- Report arrival, departure, and all cancellations
- Determines the order in which all flights must be scheduled and dispatched
- Must monitor all equipment changes
- Monitor pilot qualifications/weather minimums
- Must monitor monthly memberships
- Track/Process Payments
- Proctor written exams
- Maintain schedule accuracy
- Close out all cashier tickets
Competencies
- Must be familiar with various computer systems / Ability to adapt to new systems
- Preferred Dispatch Experience
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written
- Must be fluent in English
- Must have flexibility in scheduling, including nights, weekends and holidays
- Must have ability to work under pressure while maintaining composure.
Physical Demands
- Stationary position: Must be able to to remain in a stationary position up to 75% of the time.
- Move, Traverse: The person in this position need to occasionally move about the campus to provide on-site tours.
- Communicate: The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
- Ascend/Descend: Must be able to walk up and down stairways.
- Operate: Constantly operates a computer and other office equipment: phone, printer/copier.
- Detect: The ability to observe details at close range
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
- Part Time
- Up to 29 hours per week
- Weekend shifts as needed
Required Education and Experience
- High School diploma/GED
- Aviation Knowledge/Experience
