Description:
Summary
The Receiving Inspector performs product inspection to verify conformance to drawing and process specifications, including but not limited to receiving, in-process and final inspections as assigned.
Principal Activities

Inspect product to verify compliance with the requirements of the work order, applicable specifications, and the KF Valves quality management system in accordance with all licensing and customer requirements (i.e., API, ISO, PED, CSA, etc.)

Perform dimensional and visual inspections as assigned, including first article, in-process, and final inspections.

Review calibration certifications for accuracy and conformance to stated requirements.

Ensure all documentation scanning/indexing tasks are maintained and kept up to date (i.e., process control records, inspection records, etc.)

Review outsourced process documentation and reports for conformance to stated requirements (i.e., KFV QMS, API, ISO, customer, end user, etc.)

Assist with customer returns as assigned. Inspect product prior to restock.

Verify material test reports with engineering specifications for acceptance as required.

Generate NCRs (nonconforming product reports) and handle all follow-up activities as required to ensure timely review and closure.

Other duties as assigned including but not limited to administrative tasks, trouble-shooting customer requests, and field service tasks.

Requirements:
Skills & Qualifications

Minimum high school diploma

Minimum of two (4) years of related experience in quality assurance, inspection, OR equivalent combination of education and experience within different disciplines, functions, and/or business.

Any additional training or certification will be considered an advantage.

Knowledge of ball valves, calibration, hand gauges, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), strongly preferred.
Working Conditions:

The worker is subject to noise: There is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard above the ambient noise level.

The worker is subject to both environmental conditions: Activities occur inside and outside.
Physical Requirements:
Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Fingering: Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with whole hand or arm as in handling.
Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
Standing: Remaining upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods of time.
