Maintenance Technicians are responsible for maintaining Prime Urban Properties’ multi-family and mixed-use real estate portfolio and providing top-notch customer service to tenants. Successful technicians are reliable, knowledgeable, capable of working as a team or independently, have excellent organization and time management skills, are familiar and comfortable with technology and electronic record keeping and are always learning and developing new skills as needed.
Essential Functions
· Adhere to Prime Urban Properties standards and procedures for exceptional quality and customer service.
· Perform preventative, routine, and incidental maintenance functions including, but not limited to, general construction repairs, plumbing, electrical, and appliances and mechanicals.
· Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair emergency issues in a timely and professional manner.
· Complete apartment turnovers within given timeframe.
· Provide exceptional and friendly customer service to tenants daily.
· Communicate with property managers and other office staff regarding the completion of work orders and any additional assistance needed to complete tasks.
· Operate and maintain necessary equipment and tools.
· Maintain shop and all work areas in a neat, organized, and clean manner.
· Provide maintenance assistance and support to other team members.
· Read and interpret equipment manuals and/or property As-builts.
· Comply with all regulations and applicable laws regarding housing, health, safety, and environment including, but not limited to OSHA and Fair Housing.
Qualifications and Requirements
· High School Diploma or equivalent.
· Valid driver's license and reliable, insured vehicle.
· A minimum of two year's experience as a multi-family maintenance technician.
· Commitment to excellent customer service and communication skills.
· Physically capable and able to work overtime including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
· Must live within a 30 minute drive of downtown Madison and provide emergency services for one week on a five week rotation.
· Approach responsibilities with a team player mentality and positive attitude.
· Experience with mobile timekeeping, work order and mail applications.
· Maintain a well-groomed, neat appearance.
