Axle is seeking a Biomedical Engineer to join our vibrant team at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) supporting the Clinical Center (CC) located in Bethesda, MD.

Overall Position Summary and Objectives
NIH Clinical Center Biomedical Engineering Section: The section is part of the Materials Management Department. Section complies with security assessments and Hospital Accreditation Standards for medical equipment. Section corrects malfunctions in medical systems that have vital interrelated and dispersed subsystems. Section evaluates products and systems for performance reliability, cost-effectiveness, serviceability, and feasibility for clinical and laboratory use; participates in the testing of systems, training of users, and writing of operator instructions or manuals. Section services medical and patient care equipment such as patient ventilators, dialysis, defibrillators, physiological monitoring, ice makers, and patient computers.

- Work with staff on maintaining records of facility and equipment usage.
