Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our medical team. The ideal candidate will assist in surgical operations under the supervision of surgeons, registered nurses, or other surgical personnel. This role requires a strong understanding of aseptic techniques and the ability to maintain a sterile environment in the operating room.
Duties:
- Prepare operating rooms for surgery
- Set up surgical instruments and equipment
- Pass instruments to surgeons during surgery
- Monitor and maintain a sterile field
- Handle specimens for laboratory analysis
- Ensure all surgical equipment is functioning properly
- Assist in patient transport within the surgical department
Experience:
- Previous experience in an operating room setting preferred
- Knowledge of hospital medicine and emergency medicine practices
- Familiarity with medical terminology and patient care protocols
- Understanding of human anatomy and physiology
- Ability to monitor vital signs and respond to critical care situations
Skills:
- Proficient in aseptic technique and maintaining sterile fields
- Experience working in an operating room (OR) environment
- Strong knowledge of hospital procedures and protocols
- Understanding of human physiology and medical terminology
- Ability to provide quality patient care in critical situations
