Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Automotive Technician to join our dynamic team in South Florida. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with a focus on providing high-quality service and exceptional customer satisfaction. As a Senior Automotive Technician, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of vehicles, ensuring all work is performed to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Diagnostics and Repairs:
- Perform advanced diagnostics on a variety of vehicle makes and models.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance, including engine repair, brake systems, electrical systems, transmission services, and other complex automotive issues.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to accurately identify and resolve issues.
2*. Customer Service:*
- Communicate effectively with customers to explain diagnostic findings, necessary repairs, and maintenance needs.
- Provide accurate estimates for repair costs and timelines.
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through professional and courteous service.
3*. Team Leadership:*
- Mentor and guide junior technicians, providing training and support as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with service advisors and other team members to ensure efficient workflow and optimal customer service.
4. Continuous Improvement:
- Stay current with industry trends, new technologies, and advancements in automotive repair.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
- Implement best practices to improve service efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an automotive technician, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead technician role.
Certifications:
- ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certifications preferred.
- Additional manufacturer-specific certifications are a plus.
Skills:
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and software.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Technical or vocational training in automotive repair.
