Supervisor Environmental Services
Job Summary:
- Under the direction of the Director of plant Operations and/or his or her designee, the Environmental Services supervisor is responsible for directing the cleaning of patient and non-patient care areas throughout the hospital.
- This is accomplished by the execution of the staff of the EVS department to ensure that they are in a high state of cleanliness at all times.
- In addition to this, the Supervisor monitors the duties including floor care, medical and non-medical waste disposal, the Hospitals Hazardous waste program and the supervision of the MSD on-line program as well as to perform other duties as assigned.
- The Supervisor of EVS plans, coordinates and manages all phases of the Hospitals Environmental services Program, including quality control, the detailed preparation of operating budget enforcement of established codes and standards, preparation of contract documents and the execution of department projects as directed.
- The Supervisor of EVS also builds and maintains schedules for all EVS personnel including Kronos edits and approval of timecards.
- The Supervisor of EVS is responsible for completing and compliance of annual evaluation's and competencies of EVS personnel.
Qualifications:
- High School graduate or GED or 15+ years in Environmental Supervisory Role.
- AS Degree in related field preferred.
- Must have the ability to read written instructions and comprehend verbal instructions given in English.
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English. Proficient in MS Office.
- Three to five years of housekeeping experience required.
- One to two years of supervisory or managerial hospital-based housekeeping preferred.
- Certificate in a recognized housekeeping or floor care program preferred.
Wage Range: $32.96 - $40.00 Per hour
