Job Brief:
CityView Media is the Greater Fayetteville Area’s largest news organization with a monthly lifestyle magazine, a digital daily newsletter full of the day’s most important news stories, annual targeted publications, a robust social media following, and four community events. CityView is known for its feel-good stories and beautiful photography, “Seen at the Scene” (photographs from events around Fayetteville and Ft Liberty), its timely reporting on government news, and its presence throughout the community as a news leader.
CityView is looking for a dynamic, outgoing, engaging person to join our sales team. This person will play a key role in increasing income and revenue by working with new and existing clients, generating leads, managing sales, visiting clients, and keeping timely sales activities records. This is a GREAT role for retail managers, experienced sales associates, ready to transition to a flexible, hybrid career with no nights, no weekends and no holidays. CityView’s goal is to provide exceptional, informing, and engaging advertising messaging for area businesses.
This is a flexible, salary + uncapped sales commission role. Account executives will be given an ACTIVE account list upon completion of training. This is not a 'cold call' job.
Responsibilities:
- Meeting sales goals for each CityView publication through face-to-face meetings, phone calls and emails
- Report sales activites to Sales Lead
- Attend Weekly staff meeting and bi-weekly sales training
- Building and strengthening long-lasting customer relationships
- Attending CityView events
- Report and provide feedback to management
- Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being aware of new products and developments, and remain knowledgeable of our competition’s products and promotions
- Engaging on CityView’s social media accounts
Requirements include:
- Proven sales experience with the demonstrated ability to consistently meet or exceed goals
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with clients and internal organizational staff
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Strong business sense and industry experience
- Community knowledge
- Willingness to attend events as a representative of CityView Media
- Self-motivated, accountable and driven
