Customer Service Representative
Position Type: Full time (up to 40 hours/week)
Wage: Starting at $20.00 per hour - depending on experience - to be reviewed after 90-day probationary period
Insurance: We offer a monthly health stipend of $200, which is available after the 90-day probationary period

Who We Are Looking For:
The majority of our business is conducted in the pet industry, offering natural products for cats and dogs. Our core values state that we are empathetic and enthusiastic pet lovers, who always pick up the dog poop.
We possess a strong focus on continuous improvement, intellectual curiosity, and challenging the status quo; we are seeking a like-minded individual. The successful candidate will already possess a strong background in customer service, and prior experience in a call center environment also benefits this role. Due to the nature of our business, knowledge of natural health supplements and/or pet ailments would be an asset.
We operate 7 days a week, and are open on all holidays except for Christmas Day, and New Years Day. Our hours of operation are 8 AM to 6 PM Monday through Friday, and from 8 AM to 5 PM on weekends and holidays. We are a small team, thus we do expect that our ideal candidate be flexible with their availability. It is expected that the successful candidate will report to our job site each day - this is not a remote or hybrid position.
Due to being on the smaller side, team-wise, it is very important to us to work very closely together in order to reach a common goal. We are seeking a person who is easy going, and can work well with all types of people. We are an energetic and fun-loving group full of open minded and inclusive individuals.
Role Responsibilities:
- Assisting our clients via phone, live chat, and written communication such as email
- Placing orders and processing payments
- Data entry
- General office tasks (mailing, faxing, packing orders)
- Working closely with management to improve performance and/or client experience
- Must be flexible to work weekends and holidays, if needed
- Ability to complete 2 weeks of F/T training

Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience working with computers and on the internet.
- Prior call center experience is preferred
- Strong communication skills, active listening, the ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve
- General office/administrative skills, with above-average writing skills
- Ability to empathize with customers who are experiencing hardship with their own health needs, or that of their pet
- Ability to work well independently, as well as with a team
- Being a pet owner is an asset, though not a requirement!
