A Sr Data Advisor is a lead role within the Asset Data Strategy and Optimization team and responsible for advising, coordinating, and implementing the data & systems roadmap. This requires complex understanding the people, process & technology dependencies required to plan for execution of critical initiatives. In addition to roadmap planning & execution, this Sr Data Advisor role is critical to the execution of the strategy to ensure that all Asset Integrity data is captured, maintained and readily available for program owners and other stakeholders to facilitate accurate and timely decisions and ensure safety and compliance. The work includes building detailed plans with all dependencies, coordinating plans, resources, and defining business architecture alternatives includes data automation, integration, quality assurance processes and metrics specific to Asset Integrity functions to ensure the highest degree of accuracy, efficiency, and effectiveness. Define, build and execute organizational change activities and engagement within Asset Integrity and other functions also required. What You Will Do:
- Define plans and implement successful implementation of the Asset Integrity Data Strategy and including data concepts related to the budget, program business cases development and understanding of the environment to ensure that all Asset Integrity data is captured, maintained and readily available to facilitate accurate and timely decisions and ensure safety and compliance
Establish competency in both technical & functional awareness and understanding of the inter-functional relationships, roles, and how other parties understand data and the Asset Integrity Data Strategy
Demonstrate success in building relationships among other functional and technical partners for understanding and planning work related to Asset Integrity data and solutions, both laterally, upward & downward in multiple departments
Design & Develop create key leadership messages (power point decks, written communications)
Define processes and workflows that impact data and understand alternative solutions impacting both systems and the organization, ability to create a future state view and plans for implementing the change
Create and govern standards that enable data strategy, plans, projects, and activities are aligned with asset performance targets and overall asset integrity strategic priorities
Identify , develop, and maintain optimized processes for collection, maintenance, and integration of Asset Integrity data to the highest degree efficiency
Develop and maintain quality assurance, controls, and governance processes and KPI’s specific to Asset Integrity data functions to ensure the highest degree of accuracy and performance.
Lead & Execute Data Advisor Lead Tasks (similar to Project Management tasks from planning to sustainment plans) to ensure effective implementation and change management of strategies, as defined by the Manager
Ensure Asset Integrity data processes demonstrates innovative and practical solutions needed by the program and asset owners to ensure safe and reliable operations while delivering a competitive advantage.
Coordinate work activities from Asset Integrity as a point of contact with Engineering and Asset Management Data teams in support of GTM Operations and Asset Integrity for cross functional project definitions & execution
Contribute to work related to Regulatory Information Requests and coordination among the team to respond
Establish a growing and respected brand personally and with the team to influence of Enbridge data standards to strengthen our organization in Asset Integrity, Operations, and Engineering & Asset Management with respect to the utilization of the best available data, technologies, and processes.
Demonstrate regular ability to speak in front of leadership customers, facilitate cross functional meetings, and create key messages for change management. Results from this will enable the change required for impacted partners
Required:
Bachelor’s degree Business, Management of Information Systems, or equivalent
6 years of related experience (Data Systems implementations desired with deep understanding of implementations in an open systems environment) with specialized experience in the areas of pipelines
3+ years of experience in external partner management through effective relationship building
Asset integrity experience or other pipeline industry related experience is an asset
Able to effectively contribute to the growth of emerging leaders within the team.
Ability to interpret impact to the Company of diverse business and data issues.
Ability to communicate to a wide audience, including employees, all levels of management, industry associations and regulatory agencies.
Ability to organize complex information and write concise documents and correspondence to various audiences.
Expert verbal and written skills in explaining complex issues and creating the story for understanding and discussion to both technical and non-technical audience
Highly motivated and energetic to pursue the development of strategic plans and creative thinking to make progress in a challenging, complex, and technical environment
Advanced degrees or certifications related to Management of Information Systems or Engineering is an asset
Project Management experience, PMP or equivalent
Team Lead or Coordinator experience is an asset
Office environment
Travel, likely less than 2x per year to Calgary, Edmonton or other Operating regions or stakeholder meetings.
Ability to travel to Canada required.
Company paid international relocation is not offered for this role.

Grasping, kneeling, light - moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time. Physical fitness and able to work at heights (climbing wind turbine) and ability to successfully pass working at heights training and certification and wear full fall arrest harness and related equipment
