QC Tech works hand in hand with the Quality Control Manager to ensure that all products being produced meet Quality Control Requirements and Specifications.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for overseeing and maintaining Food Safety and Food Quality
- Study methods to improve the quality of foods such as flavor, color, texture and microbiological composition.
- Applies scientific principles for quality control.
- Responsible for working with Production Supervisor for Best Quality and efficient production.
- Cutting, coloring and testing of all vinegar to effectively supply the bottling line.
- Inventory and usage of concentrate, including material balance and efficiency.
- Cutting, coloring and testing of tank trucks for bulk shipments.
- Testing of mustard for acids, solids, viscosity and correcting variations in the process.
- Operating a clean, safe environment as mandated by Old Dutch's Good Manufacturing Practices and State and Federal Laws.
- Sampling of mustards and vinegar to assure quality and conformance of production.
- Performing G.C. Analysis for all alcohol shipments received.
- Familiar with SQF Program a plus. (SQF Training, etc.)
- HACCP duties as assigned.
- Follows all program guidelines for Halal and Kosher certifications.
- Responsible for food safety.
- Other duties as assigned by the General Plant Manager and/or Company President.
- Frequent climbing of stairs is required along with lifting.
- Assisting in other departments if necessary.
Education/ Experience:
Candidates must have a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in one of the following fields: Food Sciences, Microbiology, Chemical Engineering or equivalent on the job experience.
