Position Details:
The Financial Operations Analyst is responsible for ensuring financial data quality by liaising with internal departments to process matter requests and for providing operations analysis to improve matter data management. The individual follows the agenda, procedures, and standard practices established for Finance Operations and effectively coordinates with cross-functional teams. This position requires a continuous improvement and solution-oriented mindset, as well as a willingness and ability to take ownership and drive initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities:
The following responsibilities should be carried out in accordance with firm protocols, policies and procedures and best practices. The below is not an exhaustive list but provides an expectation of the likely day to day responsibilities.
Manage matter data collection and entry in 3E.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes and improve operational efficiency.
Monitor and report on matter data quality to identify reoccurring problems.
Minimize risk to the company by monitoring and enforcing internal controls.
Identify opportunities for process & data management improvement and implement solutions.
Collect, analyze, and consolidate financial information, and advise departments on the collection and analysis of data.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business administration, or a related field.
1-2 years of relevant finance experience in a law firm or professional services firm is preferred.
Experience in accounting tools/systems, including 3E (preferred).
Experience using Intapp is a plus.
Superior interpersonal abilities; effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work well with all levels of management.
Ability to provide effective business solutions and collaborate with colleagues in problem resolution with a focus on results.
Capacity to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Demonstrates respect, flexibility, and tact; excellent listening and reasoning skills; and attention to detail is crucial.
Strong organizational skills are a must.
The maturity, savvy, and good humor necessary to meet the challenges of a fast-paced work environment.
Excellent team player and ability to work autonomously.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, Trello, Smartsheet.
Familiarity using data manipulation software like SQL and Qlik is a plus.

At the time of posting, the salary range for this role is $60,000 (minimum) – $75,000 (maximum). This range is based on a full-time work schedule. Other compensation may include an annual discretionary bonus. The successful candidate’s actual salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors, including but not limited to relevant experience, qualifications, licensure/certifications, training, skills, and market data.
