Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Pre-Press Technician to join our team at our envelope printing facility in St. Louis, Missouri. St Louis Print Group is a provider of commercial printing and envelope manufacturing services. Services offered include offset printing, flexographic printing, die-cutting and envelope converting specifically for the non-profit and commercial direct mail industry. St. Louis Print Group is a valued member of the Moore enterprise, and one of its 43 North American divisions.
The Pre-Press Technician will be responsible for receiving and/or typesetting and proofing artwork and making plates.
In this role, you are responsible for:
* Retrieving and managing artwork files
* Proofing
* Scanning
* Platemaking
* Archiving
* Stocking
What we look for:
* Proficient in Adobe CC.
* Proficient in retrieving and managing artwork files in Macintosh and Windows operating systems.
* Knowledge in industry standard pre-press requirements.
* Proficient with Enfocus Pitstop, MS Office, Extensis Suitcase, Kodak Prinergy, Workshop, Colorflow, and Color Management.
* Experience with Esko Grapholis is beneficial but not required.
* Experience with Lithographic and Flexographic setup and platemaking.
* Experience with setup for die cutting, flat sheet and web presses.
* Proficiency with Imposition and Step and Repeat.
* Gather and prepare all files to produce final artwork for press using Adobe CC or Quark.
* Accurately perform color correction, editing, and retouching as needed.
* Assimilate artwork into press layouts using Preps and Prinergy.
* Accurately proofing output of press plates to send to clients.
* Output files to plate for sheetfed and web presses.
* Archiving and maintenance of departmental workstations.
* Able to work in a fast-paced, high energy, and challenging environment.

Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
