Key Details:
- Pay: $85,000 – 135,000/year DOE

Who You Are: You are a System Operations whiz when it comes to energy utilities! You understand what it takes to do these jobs and you’re passionate about training and educating others.
Other qualifications include:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent Power System Operations Experience
- 3 – 5 years’ of System Operations or technical training experience
- NERC System Operator Certificate (RC Preferred) or ability to obtain within 1 year
- Knowledge of NERC and WECC Standards
- Understanding of Bulk Electric System Operations
- Strong public speaking skills
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and references
Position Overview: We are seeking a System Operations Trainer who would like to be part of the WPP team developing some of the best online Power System Operations training in the industry. You must be comfortable in a team environment where you're afforded the ability to flex your creative muscle and technical expertise. Our in-house training and creative team is looking for a System Operations Trainer that is able to develop operations training courses that support System Operators maintaining their NERC credentials and our member companies’ PER-005 training programs.
A typical day will consist of:
- Working with Creative team to develop video productions and technical trainings
- Developing technical scripts and / or interview questions for subject matter experts in related operations subjects.
- Implementing courses on our online platform including but not limited to challenge and test questions, lesson plans and ILAs
- Expected to handle some light video editing (will train)
- Working with Members of the WPP in helping identify training needs
- Other duties as assigned
