JOB DESCRIPTION:
The individual in this position assists the patient with the activities of daily life (ADLs). The LVN works cooperatively with ancillary, nursing and other health care team members, including the patient and his/her family, in maintaining quality care.
THINGS TO KNOW:
WE ONLY HAVE ONE OPENING FOR THE SHIFT CASE AND IT IS FOR FRIDAY 7AM-7PM
- Case will not start until the end of June or sometime in July (it is not guaranteed since we never know what can happen in the future but if all goes well we can accept the case)
- 12 hour shift (24 hour case)
- No more than 2-3 shifts a week (24-36 hours a week)
- Shift hours 7am-7pm & 7pm-7am
- $38/HR
JOB DUTIES:
- Assist with ADL's (Activities of daily living) (shower/hygiene care etc.)
- S/P Tubes
- Vital signs
- Basic knowledge of nursing and caregiving
- Using data to do analytical tasks and charting tasks related to patient information
- Managing patient accounts with contact information, insurance and financial information in a confidential manner
- Coordinating care with a patient's clinical team
- Assessing patients for necessary care or changes to current care plans
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
· Must be a high school graduate or have a GED
· A minimum of one year full time experience , in the last three years in direct patient care, institutional setting (hospital or nursing facility) or agency setting
· Satisfactorily completed a competency evaluation program which complies with State and Federal guidelines
· Must have valid State of Texas LVN license
· Must have reliable Transportation
· Must have current CPR Card
· Must have current TB or Chest X-ray
· Must have Social Security Card or Birth Certificate
· Must have authorization to work in the USA, if applicable
